What is CBD?
CBD stands for “cannabidiol.” CBD is one of the 60+ unique compounds found only in the cannabis sativa family of plants. Research shows that it’s CBD that holds the key to the medicinal and therapeutic qualities of these powerful plants.
Is CBD legal?
Yes, depending on the percentage of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol)—the compound in cannabis that causes the psychoactive effects that marijuana is known for.
The CBD oil and products that we sell at Feeling Groovy Wellness are hemp-based. That means our CBD products contain less than .3 percent of THC, making it legal in all 50 states under a law that was passed in 2014.
Will CBD make me high?
No. Because it has such a low concentration of the THC compound, CBD will not make you high. You can safely use CBD in your coffee, as a vape pen, in capsules … there are a lot of possibilities!
How does CBD work?
CBD affects the nervous system to improve a variety of chronic conditions. Basically, nerve endings in our brains have receptors that are made for cannabinoids. So, when we use a CBD product or ingest CBD, our brain recognizes it as a good thing. Our bodies know what to do with CBD.

It also helps situational issues like anxiety with immediate calming effects when taken as drops.
How can I use CBD?
Like vitamins and medications, CBD needs to get into your system to work. How fast it goes to work will depend on the form you take it.
Many people like the convenience of CBD capsules that can be taken once a day. This is a great way to get CBD into your system consistently to help things like inflammation, insomnia and digestion.
A more direct and immediate route into your systems is via CBD oil drops. When placed under the tongue, it has an almost instantly calming effect. There’s no extreme taste to the drops; it’s kind of a nutty, earthy flavor.
Until you know how CBD will affect you (it can make you sleepy because it’s so calming), it’s best to start with a low dosage of drops, 5 or 6, morning, noon and night and work up to the dosage of 15 drops recommended on the bottle.
Vapor pens are perfect for that “instant chill” effect when you need to relax. Many people use them to help stop smoking. We also offer blends with other oil to enhance focus, energy and pain. And of course, our Adam and Eve vape pens can set the right mood for a romantic evening.

Yes! Our furry companions can benefit from the therapeutic effects of CBD. Dogs, cats and horses have the same CBD receptors built into their nervous system, so it has many of the same effects on animals.
CBD can be used for inflammation, arthritis, pain and anxiety—like traveling in the car. It can be administered to pets via drops in their food, capsules for convenience when traveling, or even as part of their daily treat! It’s great for older dogs and cats who experience many of the same aches and pains as we do when we get older.
